Business After Hours

This was fun! The Red Deer Chamber of Commerce held Business After Hours at the Red Deer Lodge which was featuring new chefs. You know what the means, right? A big spread! They were even making Sambuca Shrimp. This is a beautiful room too. My display was right next to Business guru John Mackenzie and his Wife. John is a business genious whose talk I attended just a short time ago. What a smart guy, and super helpful. That's his wife behind him...carrying the heavy stuff, it looks like.

Sunday in the snowy park

Congrats Christina and Jesse

Coolest. People. Ever.
Christina and Jesse Tied the knot on Saturday with a very fun wedding.
There was heavey rain early on...kind of a damper on all of those outside shots I wanted, but we made it with a little help from the overhang at the train station, and the Capri Hotel.
The two of them wrote their own vows; Jesse's put tears in my eyes. His smile was so huge he reminded me of a little kid who's just been given the run of Disneyland. Happy. Really happy.

Rehearsal night

Tomorrow is a wedding, which makes tonight the rehearsal.
I like to go to the rehearsals. It's good to see what the couple and family are planning, and I do plenty of chiming in on the how & when of some things.
This family is really relaxed and fun. It's going to be a fun wedding, complete with Hummers & a Cammo Cake.
How cool is that?! Pics to follow.
Note the beers? That's during the actual rehearsing part...I can almost sing along to that one...Here comes the bride, bring out your beer...Da da da da da...

Parkland Mall...Pleasant Surprise!

You never really notice (at least I don't) the amazing attention to detail a mall can put into decor and individuality of style. I mean...a Mall is a mall, right? I guess not.
This couple had their first date at the Parkland Mall, and wanted the engagement session there. I'm so thrilled with all the cool stuff they have there! A fireplace, couches, nifty light fixtures, skylights...it's quite neat.
In addition to the unusual location for this session, this creative couple is having a 'gangsters of the 30's' theme for their wedding, which I think will involve cool looking rental cars, Zoot suits, and fake Tommy guns.
...I'm sure they'll be fake. (insert nervous laugh here)
See above for old photos, via http://www.auto-ordnance.com/photolibrary.html
This will be one very fun theme wedding. I can't wait!

Like a couple of Kids!

Giddy couple Engaged to Wed...That should be the headline here. These two are probably more playful than your average puppy. Just goes to show that even in the neighbourhood of 50 (above or below - not saying which) couples are fun!

WooooooooooHOOOOooooo!

That's the sound my kids make when they go down a hill when we are cross country skiing. Mt. Shark Ski area is full of cool hills to WoooHoooo down. Beautiful sunny day, great snow, yummy lunch with tea & hot chocolate. Life is good!

Living Vicariously *sigh*

My little (younger, taller) brother is galavanting through Europe. He, our mom, & his girlfriend went together to London. They left my mom there to be set loose on the tour operators, and are currently in Venice. I'm a little envious. ...of them...not the London Tour Operators, who, if my brohter is to be believed, act as though they have a most horrible job. I think if I had to vist the Dianna & Dodi shrine everyday, I might come off as peevish too. (as you can tell, my brother is terriblely choked up by it)

That looks so Pretty! After laying waste to vast quantities of Italian wine, chocolate, and cheese, they're back to London for all of a day before flying to Africa. I'll be watching from here, enjoying his trip...from my office chair.
