We went up Mount Temple on the weekend

this is me at the windy summit. Paradise Valley ( I believe) is in the background.

Over the last couple of years, my hiking time has really dwindled. To rectify that, I joined some friends for a scramble up Mt. Temple, near Lake Louise. It was fun, difficult, painful, and rewarding. We slowed our descent for an older man who did not actually begin his day with summiting Temple in mind. He's not a scrambler, and thought it might be easy. He came down on his bum. I'm still stiff today, and expect to be for the next few. Our group was caught in a thunder storm, which is less than ideal. Luckily, it passed, and no one was hit with rock fall, or lightening. Looking up at our last hour of STRAIGHT up grinding. you can't even see the summit from here.
Going through Larch Vally, on the way to Sentinel Pass.
Looking back down the ridge from the final summit approach.
I found a good link by another person that describes the mountain really well.

Working with Friends

My good friend Lane Collison from Edmonton invited me to photograph a wedding in Nordegg last weekend. What a creatively rewarding experience.
