Alberta Women Entrepeneurs

AWE put on a great conference yesterday. Sunday night was a mingler with entertainment and FOOD. Monday had Four great speakers - Two for the workshops and One each for Lunch & Dinner.
It was really enjoyable to meet other ladies who are in business for themselves, and the many who are in the business of helping them. There are some really exciting things going on right now, both for me, and many of the other women I met. So many go-getters! It was very inspiring!

A nice week

Last Saturday I got to go out to Peter Lougheed park for some cross country skiing with my Mountain Club friends. What a beautiful day! I did get caught testing the snow temperature with my backside, but there is no waiting when the coffee catches up with me. Luckily, the couple who were skiing past were not the least bit put out by the site. The lady gleefully told us that she worked at 'the clinic' and so I had nothing new to show her. I was far too relieved by the newly emptied bladder to be embarrassed. Sunday was a shopping day in Edmonton and a visit with the inlaws. I actually enjoyed shopping. Sometimes it's just so fruitless and annoying, but I got some great stuff, including a Simon Chang jean jacket with velvet and funky beads all over it. I have no idea who that is, but he makes nice stuff.
Today I got to meet with Kendel and Bond, who took September 22. They are getting married at the Danish Canadian Museum near Dickson. It's gorgeous. I'm looking forward to that.
Plans for the Stettler grad on May 26 are coming along nicely. I'll be set up at the Ramada all day.

Thank you to Earl's in Downtown Calgary...there might be more than one...but I'm thanking the one with Kelsey, who let me, Marci & Raj in to shoot. Thanks! I think it went well.

Dude, Where's my January?

My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on January 30th, and I could have sworn we were still in early January. I must be over the hill and picking up speed, because things are zipping by a LOT faster than when I was younger.

Today was a kick-ass day. I was a nervous chatterbox on the drive to and from Calgary, but it was worth it to meet up with Raj & Marci for an engagement session. Thank you both SO much for choosing such a great place for your engagement photography. That was fun.
