Again, time is sucked away like dust bunnies in the dirt devil!

I feel like I'll miss a week if I stop to blink.
Back when life was not a thing run by a daytimer, it went by at a pretty leisurely pace.
I was 23 the last time that happened.
Now, I know what I'm doing a year before I do it...In a way, it's fun. Like the dizzy rides at Disney Land..or the ones that start of at 80 Mph. A big rush you can only savour after the fact, because you're so busy catching your breath.
Cool stuff since I got back from Vancouver Island - The Alberta Summer Games.
I really enjoyed covering them. It was just a bit of creativity, and meeting up with people I haven't seen in a while.
The ad card for next years wild B.C. Road tripping is not just designed but HERE!
Since I already have to be in Kelowna and Victoria, I'll be meeting local portrait clients during the dates I am there for. What a great thing to do, and it costs the same as my family sessions here in Alberta!
You can actually book and pay for the photography this year, and we'll design your session, plan your portrait and meet up next year. Your mom wants a gift certificate for this for her birthday/Christmas/Mother's Day/the heck of it. Really.

I've had super clients these last few weeks, and of course, more of the same coming up! September is nearly all booked.
There are still spaces for families looking for Autumn Outdoors portraits.
Of course, the Lady's Sessions run all year long.
The With This Ring Bridal Gala is coming up October 1st.

Our provincial professional photographers association is having its convention in late October. That's going to be amazing. The best thing about PPOC and it's Alberta counterpart is the way they raise the bar. The advancements and improvement in photography never stop, and the standards deemed acceptable within the association are SO high. It's an honour to even be among the photographers I've gotten to know. It's such a generous community.
Speaking of generous, I got to work with Fred Katz again last week on an Italian Wedding (hospitable and gracious people beyond belief) and a family at Fort Edmonton. I shot the getting ready at the brides house with Fred's camera. Those Canon's are actually pretty nice! Just not as huggable as my Fuji.
The Independant Achievers was to have held a golf tournament last night...I was an organizer for it...Turned into a very nice dinner instead. The rain was UNreal. Nothing looks quite as lonely as all those golf carts in the rain. The street in front of our house flooded half way up the driveway. Riverbend Golf Course made a SUPER meal complete with perfect steaks. I had no idea the food was so good there.
Summer is almost over...and I'm still so pale I glow in the dark.
